Business studies student Dan Garlick will be using his qualifications to help set up young Kenyans in business.
Dan, who lives in Stowmarket where he is on a placement with Bosch, has earned a place on a charity project called Balloon Kenya which takes qualified youngsters there to help young entrepreneurs.
They help identify ideas that deserve backing.
Dan said: “ You can them food, but this makes them self-sufficient It has a direct correlation with my course. It gives me a chance to use my qualifications.”
To go in June he had to pass a series of interviews and has to raise £2,000 to cover his food and accomodation as well as the enterprises the charity backs.
